I’ve watched several videos that capture a murmuration of starlings in flight. I especially like this one, though, because you can hear the wonder and awe in the voices of the girls who chanced upon this magical moment. This bewildering natural phenomenon is surely as perfect a thing as swimming through phosphorescent plankton in the moonlight and finding these perfect things always makes my eyes well up with joy and melancholy all at once. It’s a little bit like the feeling of a pure and adulterated love.
Yep, pretty much the most beautiful thing of the week.
